History

The Boanong Kelpie Stud is operated by James Dudley from Conargo in NSW Australia.

James worked full time as a Stock Conractor for over thirteen years. This involved a very large variety of work for the dogs. James has a very good understanding of what is required in a working dog, having moved hundreds and thousands of stock on annual basis. Both large and small mobs of sheep and cattle.

James now share farms, and runs  his own sheep.

Over a long period of time, dogs have been selected carefully for there natural abilities. Selecting for type and temperament are also a major factor . At Boanong the aim is to produce dogs suitable for the general stockman.
